  The distinctive, dream-like voice of Anna Babrakowska and the compositional and instrumental artistry of Emil Nowak constitute the foundations of the duo whose style combines elements of ambient, dream pop and electro-acoustic, minimalistic indie. Lyrics filled to the brim with emotional poetry and a subtle mosaic of sounds arranged in an absolutely non-overwhelming way - in the era of notorious excitement, Youth Novels music appears as an antidote. Especially on the newest EP called "Blue".
  
  Another release in the discography of the duo from Wągrowiec seems to be the most mature and the most refined position in their career to date. Their already well-known nostalgic and dreamy aesthetics, in which emotions play an equally important role as the sounds themselves, have been mastered by Chris Allen (mix; e.g. RY X) and Jason Mitchell (mastering; e.g. PJ Harvey). The record consists of four songs. One of them featured guest Iwona Skwarek, a leading Polish singer, co-responsible for such projects as Rebeka or Shyness!.
  
  “Blue” is a step forward that has been made in harmony with itself. Youth Novels continue their journey through musical areas inaccessible to most Polish bands. The duo explores their familiar aesthetics, bringing out even more bittersweet emotions, enclosed in four masterfully composed and produced songs. The EP, according to the authors themselves, is proof of victory in the fight for oneself and the achievement of the goal of self-understanding. “Blue” is a record of the process of letting go of anxiety and building self-confidence. This is the happy ending to loving your own weaknesses. For Youth Novels, this will be the beginning. The beginning of the road to a great international career.
